Teachers play a very important role in our lives. They not only teach us '2 + 2= 4' or 'earth is spherical in shape' but also many things about life. Moral teachings. I don't know about other students, but, at-least in my life my teachers play a very important role and they have taught me a lot. Each one of my teachers taught me something or the other which was useful at every step in my life.
My late principal, Mrs. F. Abraham, she was a great lady. Although we never got the chance to talk to her seldom like we used to with other teachers, (after all she was 'as busy as a bee') but still, whenever she used to come in the assembly, she taught something good and useful. I remember, every year, in the investiture's ceremony, she used to read passages from the Bible. At that time, I found it really boring, but still I had to listen to it. Then, some odd day, when I had problems, I used to close my eyes and remember what all she said and had faith in what she said. "EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE".
It is not only Mrs. Abraham, who has taught me so much but all my other teachers. Although, I respect all my teachers equally, there are some teachers who are really important to me.
Mrs. Frank- She was my teacher in upper-prep. When I was 5 or 6, I had really bad health issues. I had many absent marks in my attendance register. I missed out a lot of studies. But when I went back to school, Ma'am held my hand and said "Teachers are like your second mother, beta. I will help you. If you have any problem you can share it with me just like you share it with your mother at home." From that day I learnt that my teachers were like my second mother and I need not be afraid of them. Mrs. P. Correya- She was my teacher in classes third and fourth. When I was in class third I suffered from dengue and typhoid. I did not attend school for two or three months. She helped me a lot in coping up with my studies. Not only this, she helped me with many other things.
Mrs. Khosla- She was my Hindi teacher in class eighth. I am not doing any buttering but seriously she was the best Hindi teacher I got in Middle School. My lessons with her were really interesting. She never taught us like other teachers. She taught us with fun and excitement. She never taught us while sitting on her chair. She sat with us on our chairs and then taught us. She never scolded us. Not that I like her because of this reason. She used to scold us but only when we crossed the lines. I miss Hindi lessons with her.
Mrs. Prasad- She is my class teacher currently. I haven't spent a whole year with her, but as much time I have, I know that she is very caring and understanding when it comes to her students. I don't know much about her but students can trust her with things. She gives good advice. She talks to us when another teacher complains about our class. She never scolds right away. She gives us a chance to tell her our problems equally.
Mrs. Uma Sen- She was my first tuition teacher. From class third to class eighth. Even she taught me a lot. Both my parents are working. So, when I used to go for tuition in the evening, she asked me how was my day, whether I had my lunch or not, what did I eat, etc. And above all she was always worried that I never opened the door for any stranger. She was really caring. I do not like fish. So. I remember, once she made fish curry for me with lot of love and efforts, just for me to eat fish. And it was actually very tasty. I have really sweet memories with her.
All my teachers are really good. I love all my teachers. And life would be incomplete without a teacher.
Happy Teachers' Day to all my lovely teachers!
