CHANGING TIMES

A poem after a long time that I've written in epistolary form. I hope my dear readers like it. :) your valuable feedbacks are welcomed in the comment section below. :)

Dearest Friend,
Today, memories were rushing through my mind,
Remembering all those beautiful times.
Remember that lame joke that I cracked?
We laughed on that for... I guess 20 min!?
Remember that five rupee chocolate you got me?
I gave you one small piece of it and ate the rest!
Remember the nick-names we gave each other?
They made no sense... but close to our hearts rather.
Your unbelievable stories that I had to believe...
The crazy thoughts which you called 'deep and philosophical'...
Not one dress that you did not not taunt me about!
Not one day went without talking to each other...
Not one memory we did not share with each other...
All those times when I taunted you about your mobile phone cover...
And at last the most important thing... longest and tightest hug, with beautiful emotions filled in our hearts!
But now I'm realising the changing times...

तुम्हारा धर्म क्या है?

कैसे हैं दोस्तों ? आज आप लोगों को एक कहानी बताने जा रही हूँ.उसके बाद आप सब सेकुछ सवाल भी पूछने हैं.कहानी मेरी बनायी हुई नहीं है . सच्ची कहानी है . कोशिश यही रहेगी कि यह कहानी ईमानदारी से आपके सामने बयान करूं. तकरीबन 10 साल पहले की बात है . एक पांचसाल की बच्ची थी . उसने बस स्कूल जाना शुरू ही किया था. शहर का नामी स्‍कूल है. प्राइवेट वैन से सुबह-सुबह जाती थी और शाम में वैन से ही वापस आती थी.उसेस्कूल जाते हुए करीब एक हफ्ता हो चुका था .  सुबह वैन पर पीछे वाली सीट पर वह बच्ची बैठती थी . उसके बगल में उससे 2-3 साल बड़ी एक दीदी बैठती थीं . एक दिन उन्होंने उससे पूछा , " तुम्हारा धर्म क्या है ? क्या तुम मुस्लिम हो ?" उसे ये शब्‍द समझ में ही नहीं आए. उस बच्ची का ' धर्म ' या ' मुस्लिम ' जैसे शब्दों से अभी तक परिचय नहीं हुआ था . पहले तो दोमिनट इन शब्दों का मतलब सोचने लगी . जब नहीं समझ आया , तो बोली , " दीदी धर्म का मतलब क्या होता है ?" उन्होंने जवाब में बोला , " धर्म मतलब   religion . तुम्हारा धर्म क्या है ?" वह बच्ची फिर सोच में पड़ गयी . फिर अं...

HAPPY REPUBLIC DAY/ गणतंत्र दिवस की बधाई

We celebrate Republic Day on 26th January every year as a remembrance of our Constitution. The Constitution of India came into effect from 26th January, 1950 and made India a completely independent republic . We also celebrate the Constitution Day on 26th November because on 26th November 1949 we adopted our Constitution. The Constitution is also the supreme law of the land and none can violate the provisions of the Constitution. I wonder how difficult is it to understand the Indian Constitution because we have a Preamble to the Constitution which is the basic structure of the Constitution and which tells us the main aims and what is the Indian Constitution all about. Our ancestors, freedom fighters gave us this Constitution to have a definite and written set of laws/rules which would be followed throughout the years.
