MY TRIP TO UTTARAKHAND

Summer season is going on. Summer vacations have begun. Many families are going out of station to spend their holidays. Most of them are going out of station to avoid the hot weather.
As we know, Uttarakhand is a very beautiful state. Last year, in one of the cities of Uttarakhand, that is, Kedarnath, there was a very bad flood and cloud burst and with a twinkle of an aye all the buildings collapsed and the people were dead, many people were missing too and still they are not found.
This year during my summer vacation, I went to some of the cities of Uttarakhand like Mukteshwar, Nainital, Naukuchiatal, Kausani and almora. I travelled to all these places from Lucknow by car.
On the tenth of June at 7:30 am i started my journey. On that day, in the morning, I don't know why but i was having a very bad stomach ache and I was feeling like vomiting  too. So, on the car i wa trying to sleep but i could not. when we reached near Sitapur, my father got off the car and went to a medical shop and bought medicines for me. After eating those medicines i was feeling better. Then we resumed our journey. We were first going to Mukteshwar via Bhimtal. My father's office friend was also there from 3-4 days with his family. So, we had planned to meet them first at a place called 'Mandir Marg'. We were going to reach there, when suddenly heavy rainfall with hail started.I enjoyed it very much. The trees over there were very beautiful and there was majority of pine trees which is called 'चीड़' in hindi. But whatever, we finally reached there. We all clicked photographs together. Then, the other family went back as they were there from 3-4 days. We went inside 'Mandir Marg' . We saw a therecalled 'Rock Point' and from there, there was a beautiful view and we saw sunset from that point, it was very beautiful. Then, we went to our hotel. The name of the hotel was 'Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam'. The room was very beautiful. The food there, was also very delicious. The next day, we were travelling Mukteshwar and there first I saw 'Mukteshwar Post Office' which was made in 1905. It was red and white in colour. It was very nice. It had a garden too. Near that post office a fruitseller  was selling Aaloo Bokhara, which was red in colour and Khumaoni, which was yellow in colour. it was very delicious specially the red one.
From there we were going to Naukuchiatal via Nainital. On our way we saw apple farming. It was very huge. When we reached Nainital we went for boating which was very nice. I wanted to go for ropeway, But the tickets were not available, So we had planned to go for it the next morning when  we will go to Kausani as we will go Kausani via Nainital. The next day I went for rope-way, it was very interesting. The trolley was of  red and black colour, which went from on side to another side with the help of a rope. After that, we went to a shop to buy candles. There were many kinds of candles. I also bought some candles for my friends. Then we continued our journey. It was almost seven-eight o' clock when we reached Kausani. So, we explored Kausani next day. Isaw 'Anasakti Ashram'. There we saw things related to Gandhi Ji. From there we went to 'Sumitranandan Pant Museum' . We saw things related to him. His belongings, like his study table. I saw a temple temple called 'Baijnath Mandir'. It was very beautiful. There was a lake also in front of the temple.
Then, we were coming back to Lucknow via Almora. My uncle's friend lives in Almora so he was with us the whole time in Almora. In Almora I visited a temple. Then we visited an ancient museum. Then we visited a place where on the rocks some paintings were made. It is believed that some early human have made it. Those paintings were made with red colour. After that we went with my uncle's friend. At his house i ate very delicous Kumaoni food. After that we were coming back to Lucknow. We reached Lucknow that night around 2 o' clock.
It was a very nice journey. I just enjoyed it very much.

We celebrate Republic Day on 26th January every year as a remembrance of our Constitution. The Constitution of India came into effect from 26th January, 1950 and made India a completely independent republic . We also celebrate the Constitution Day on 26th November because on 26th November 1949 we adopted our Constitution. The Constitution is also the supreme law of the land and none can violate the provisions of the Constitution. I wonder how difficult is it to understand the Indian Constitution because we have a Preamble to the Constitution which is the basic structure of the Constitution and which tells us the main aims and what is the Indian Constitution all about. Our ancestors, freedom fighters gave us this Constitution to have a definite and written set of laws/rules which would be followed throughout the years. The Constitution declares all the citizens as equal and cannot be discriminated on any ground. Being a political science student, I studied the Constitution, the arti...

Death & Numb Feelings

TW: THIS POST TALKS ABOUT DEATH AND EMOTIONS RELATED TO IT, WHICH MAYBE PROVOKING.  Today, I was watching an English show and the particular episode was about someone passing away. It reminded me of the time between 2020- till date and all the people I lost during this time period.  I also realized how during this whole hustle of battling corona and life I had actually not gotten the time to even mourn properly. We all lost so many people during Corona and we couldn't even be there with our loved ones because of the fear of the spreading virus. Adulting hit a little more when I also realized that due to college and being so far away I couldn't attend funerals of my loved ones.  I cried watching the episode today. It felt good to get a little weight off my chest because hearing about deaths during Covid made me so numb that I couldn't even cry. I know that becoming completely numb about feelings is not healthy, but I guess that's just how I became during Covid and its st...
